About Waterfox

Waterfox was started back in March 2011 by Alex Kontos, a then 16 year old student. He had a fascination for the web and wanted to help expand on the ideals of what Mozilla had for a free and open web. And so he made Waterfox, a 64-Bit browser based on Mozilla's free and open source platform.

Waterfox is a high performance browser based on the Mozilla platform. Made specifically for 64-Bit systems, Waterfox has one thing in mind: speed.

What makes Waterfox so fast? It's built with Intel's C++ compiler. One of the most powerful compilers out there. This enables us to make the fastest possible web browser for all the code changes we make. This potent combination makes for an unparalleled browsing experience.

Waterfox is a high performance browser based on the Mozilla Firefox source code. This code is taken and compiled to run specifically for 64-Bit Windows computers. To make Waterfox stand out a bit more, it’s compiled with optimizations so that it will run more efficiently and faster than just compiling Firefox as a 64-Bit program. Having been compiled specifically for this type of system, its performance is better than the standard version of Firefox. Icons and names aside, Waterfox is identical to Firefox, and is updated each time you do the main version, with the difference that your executable has been compiled for x64 and Windows systems. Waterfox was compiled with Intel’s C++ Compiler with the following optimisations: Intel’s Math Library, SSE3, AVX for supported Intel processors, jemalloc, Profile-Guided Optimisation and the /O3 switch.

Your add-ons/extensions work on any version of Firefox, on any platform! That means they all work with Waterfox. On the other hand, only 64-Bit plugins work with Waterfox and as of now those are: Adobe Flash, Oracle Java and Microsoft Silverlight.

Waterfox is based on the current stable Firefox build, which means it functions in exactly the same way. Aside from its name on the menu at the top of the main window, there’s nothing to differentiate it from Firefox. Waterfox shares your Firefox settings, so should you come to uninstall it, don’t select the option to delete all personal information if you’re still using Firefox.

Waterfox Features:
• Compiled in Intel’s C++ Compiler
• Intel’s Math Library
• Streaming SIMD Extensions 3
• Advanced Vector Extensions
• Jemalloc
• Profile-Guided Optimisation
• /O3 Switch
• 100% Extension Compatibility
• 64-bit Plugin Support
• Future Proof!

You MUST have Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64) installed!

Microsoft Process Explorer 17.00

Microsoft Process Explorer 17.00 Ever wondered which program has a particular file or directory open? Now you can find out. Process Explorer shows you information about which handles and DLLs processes have opened or loaded. The Process Explorer display consists of two sub-windows. The top window always shows a list of the currently active processes, including the names of their owning accounts, whereas the information displayed in the bottom window depends on the mode that Process Explorer is in: if it is in handle mode you'll see the handles that the process selected in the top window has opened; if Process Explorer is in DLL mode you'll see the DLLs and memory-mapped files that the process has loaded. Process Explorer also has a powerful search capability that will quickly show you which processes have particular handles opened or DLLs loaded. The unique capabilities of Process Explorer make it useful for tracking down DLL-version problems or handle leaks, and provide insig...
